Yesterday I wandered down to my brother's computer to do a quick check on email & Twitter. Image my shock when I found out that someone decided to attack an internet friend.
I'm sure you can guess where this is going.
I went over to the negative post and defended my friend.
Please note, I did not swear, did not attack personally. I merely defended.
Then I let Twitter know what was happening to our friend.
Soon I had to defend my friend (and myself) to this person's readers. This was not surprising since in any blog battle there are sides. I did not mind this since the person's comment section was quickly filled with our friends defending/explaining/being awesome. It felt good knowing that not only are there people out there that will defend an internet friend, but also do it in a mature manner. As I talked to the friend online we realized that we had an army of fiercely loyal people.
This Army needed a name.
Ladies and Gentlemen I invite you to join;
The Pink Army!(because on Wednesdays we wear it)
I encourage you all to post pictures of yourself wearing pink (come on men don't be scared!). Let's gather the troops and turn this moment of negativity into something FUN! btw, i LOVEEEE my title! i just think its so funny, because i was not wearing ANY makeup before the pic and i literally looked sickly. so before i smiled all big for the pink army, i thought it would be fun (and save me some shame) to throw a little lip gloss on my face. all i can say now is PHEW! if it wasn't for that, i doubt i'd have a title in this army. serendipity i tell you!
I totally want to be in this pink army! I can't right now because I'm at work, but I will get on this as soon as I get home!
